'Taking Jesus to the people, bringing the people to Jesus'
We are now meeting in the building on Sunday mornings. The service starts at 10:45am and will last around an hour. Refreshments are served in the hall following the service.
If you have any health concerns or covid symptoms please do not attend the building but instead access the North Western Baptist Association online services which can be found on YouTube. This is for your safety and peace of mind as much as it is for the safety of others.
Prayer and share is currently running on Wednesdays at 12.30pm and our ABC toddler group is now also meeting again face to face on Monday mornings.
However TLC is currently suspended but we hope to resume again soon.
Currently there is no need to book to access any of our activities, simply turn up. On arrival you will be asked to confirm that you have no covid symptoms and if visiting for the first time, your name and a contact number will be taken for track and trace (this will be destroyed after six weeks). You will also be asked to sanitize your hands.
The wearing of face masks is now optional.
If you would like to get more connected with any of our activities or need any pastoral or practical support please get in touch (email, fb or phone), we'd love to hear from you.
We are a Baptist church in the heart of Blackpool who take seriously God's call to 'Love God and Love Our Neighbours'
We meet every Sunday at 10.45am for about an hour, where we pray together, hear stories of how God's love is impacting lives today, explore the Bible and sing a mix of modern songs and hymns.
Our services are best described as 'casual and chaotic', there is no dress-code, everyone is welcome to take part and we don't use any religious jargon.
We are a family church with a passion for community. As a result we have a lively program of activities throughout the week for all ages as well as on Sundays.
Check out our activities page for more info on how to get connected!
The original church (Whitegate Drive Baptist Church) was founded in 1909 and the church opened in 1910 with extensions in 1927. For the remainder of the church's life subsidence was a constant battle. A decision to demolish the church was taken in 2000 and the WD40 Appeal was launched. The new building opened in March 2004 and renamed Forest Gate Baptist Church as it fronts onto Forest Gate.
If you'd like to find out more why not drop us an email, check out our Facebook page (link below), give us a bell, or just turn up one Sunday, you're guaranteed a warm welcome!
